Applications are considered and short listed by the school, and, where appropriate interviews are arranged.
As in all recruitment situations, there are some bureaucratic necessities to get through before a new staff member is able to join our school community. What follows is a list of things that need to done in order to ensure that all goes smoothly for arrival and before the school semester begins. In the case of acceptance, a provisional offer to work in the Özel Bilkent Schools is made by letter, subject to:
- acceptance of qualifications by the Turkish Ministry of Education;
- acceptance by the Turkish Immigration Authorities;
- satisfactory reference letters;
- a medical report satisfactory to the School Board after examination at a medical centre.
The letter stipulates the terms of the contract, with salary, provisions and entitlements.
Appointees need to confirm acceptance of the provisional offer, in writing, as soon as possible. Once agreement is given, then the school proceeds with the formalities and contract arrangements as outlined under Post acceptance procedures.
